Emergency department scheduling & operations platform — pulseed.xyz
About our company
Pulse ED (pulseed.xyz) is a software platform that hospital emergency departments use to build and
publish clinician work schedules, manage rosters and credentialing, track operational metrics, and
coordinate day-to-day department operations. Our customers are healthcare organizations; our users are
their emergency-medicine staff — physicians, advanced practice clinicians, facility medical directors,
and administrators. The platform is private and access is granted by each organization to its own staff.
Our SMS messaging program
We send operational, staff-facing text messages to enrolled users (and let those users
text short operational notes back into the platform). It is a transactional program for people who work
with the organization — we do not send marketing or promotional messages and we do not message the
general public. Typical messages:
Shift schedule publication, updates, and reminders
Confirmation replies when a user texts an operational note to our “Cortex” notebook
Occasional operational alerts from medical-director leadership
How users opt in (consent workflow)
A user is enrolled in Pulse ED by their healthcare organization and creates an account at pulseed.xyz.
The user enters their own mobile number and chooses a preferred contact method.
To receive SMS, the user must take an affirmative action — a consent checkbox that is
unchecked by default. SMS is never enabled automatically, and consent is
not a condition of employment or of any purchase.
No message is sent to any number that has not completed this opt-in.
The exact consent language presented to the user (checkbox unchecked by default):
☐ I agree to receive operational SMS text messages from Pulse ED at the
mobile number I provided — including shift schedule notifications, reminders, and Cortex note
confirmations. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply
STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of
purchase. See our Privacy Policy and
Terms of Service.
