← Pulse ED — overview & messaging program
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Pulse ED (“Pulse,” “we,” “our”) provides an emergency department scheduling and operations platform for healthcare organizations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information — including mobile phone numbers — in connection with our SMS messaging services.
We collect information that users and their organizations provide during account registration and platform use, including names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers. Phone numbers are collected solely to deliver operational SMS notifications (e.g., shift schedule releases, reminders, and operational notes) to users who are enrolled in the platform by their organization.
Pulse sends SMS messages to enrolled users for the following purposes:
Message frequency varies based on your organization’s scheduling activity. You may receive up to several messages per week during active scheduling periods.
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details on your plan.
To opt out of SMS notifications, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP.
How you opt in. Pulse sends text messages only to individuals who have given express consent. Authorized users (facility medical directors and administrators) opt in by registering a Pulse account and entering their own mobile phone number in their account profile at pulseed.xyz, where they affirmatively agree to receive operational SMS confirmations and reminders at that number. We do not send messages to phone numbers that have not been registered and consented within the platform, and SMS consent is never a condition of any purchase.
Example messages you may receive: “✓ Note saved to your campus: ‘Speak to staff about food in the department’” or “Reminder: follow up with the on-call director. Reply STOP to opt out.”
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Phone numbers are used exclusively for delivering platform notifications as described in this policy. Numbers are not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any outside organizations.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to operate the platform.
Personal information, including phone numbers, is retained for the duration of the organization’s active subscription and deleted upon account termination or written request, subject to applicable legal obligations.
